TenTel teams up with Evans Halshaw to give away Ford Fiesta 1.25 Studio.

 TenTel and Evans Halshaw Ford dealership are celebrating after granting one man’s Christmas wish, by presenting him with a brand new Ford Fiesta 1.25 Studio, worth £9,995.

Craig Morris from Chelmsford, was selected as the winner of the brand new car from over 10,000 entries to the national competition run jointly by TenTel and the Ford dealership. The lucky winner, a charity worker from Chelmsford, was told of his win in a telephone call with TenTel’s Managing Director, Robert McKechnie. He said: “Wow! To be honest, I just didn’t believe it!”

Craig’s life took a turn for the worse in 2012 and after losing his family home and car ended up homeless and living on the streets. An accident left him in hospital where he came to the attention of a local charity called Helping Hands Essex.

“They kindly agreed to help me and offered me accommodation and a chance to get my life back on track. I stayed in their care for nearly six months until 24 January 2014. At this point, with their help and guidance I found private rented accommodation in the local area, I subsequently stayed with the charity and became a volunteer worker thus regaining some work structure in my life.” he said

More recently, he has started to rebuild other aspects of his life, with his aim to get back on the housing ladder and rebuild his family unit.

Mr Morris said, “As part of this rebuilding I had been saving to acquire a car and other trappings of “normal” life and accordingly to win a car courtesy of the TenTel was an unbelievably timely and welcome event that I will always be grateful for. It’s just life changing!"

Robert McKechnie, Managing Director of TenTel, said the company recognised many families and individuals struggled with the cost of living and that it wanted to demonstrate from the outset that it was on their side.
